Aims and concerns
The Association “Friends of Konzertchor Darmstadt e. V.” was founded in 1992. The association has set itself the goal of promoting and financially supporting the Konzertchor’s artistic work. The chairman, Prof. Arnulf Rosenstock, explains,
„The association should concentrate on assisting the artistic work of the Konzertchor and supporting extraordinary expenditure. Contacts with other cultural institutions in Darmstadt are also to be stepped up.”
Prof. Rosenstock sees the international commitment of the Konzertchor as an opportunity to consolidate further Darmstadt’s reputation as a city of outstanding cultural commitment. In 2001, a new major initiative was added to assist the Konzertchor in its contributions to the Darmstadt Residence Festival, which aims to fill the historical venues of the city with musical life.
The Konzertchor Friends‘ Association offers interested parties the opportunity to assist the work and promote the artistic activities of the Konzertchor by membership.
